Gates of Hope

Our Mission

To reconcile children with their guardians and to provide a home for those without, as well as ensure that they lead a brighter future, by being responsible members of the society.

Welcome

Isaiah 60:18 Violence shall no longer be heard in your land, neither wasting or destruction within your borders. But you call your walls salvation, and gates of praise. (NKJ).

Gates of Hope is an organization involved in providing shelter, food, education and medical care to destitute and abandoned children.  In addition to this, we extend love and care to these children through administering the word of God to them and consequently restoring hope in their lives.

Our mission is to ensure that these children will be able to lead a brighter future and be stable and responsible members of the society.  We are currently situated at a place called Kagondo about 20 km from Nairobi.

Gates of Hope currently cares for well over 30 children who are all 10 years of age and above.  The majority of these children come from the streets, while others are orphans whose relatives (mostly grandparents) are too old to look after them.  Of the 30 children 20 are currently residing at the home while the rest have since been reconciled with their families.

We have a strong and dedicated staff that ensures the children’s daily needs are met.

Gates of Hope started in 1985, when I started ministering to the children in the streets of Nairobi. I started with those who were living in the streets, feeding and clothing them as well as sharing the word of God with them.
