To reconcile children with their guardians and to provide a home for those without, as well as ensure that they lead a brighter future, by being responsible members of the society.
Pastor Mary MuriithiGates of Hope started in 1985, when I started ministering to the children in the streets of Nairobi. I started with those who were living in the streets, feeding and clothing them as well as sharing the word of God with them.
Mike HammerI began working with Gates of Hope in the summer of 2001. I was in Nairobi on a short term mission's project volunteering at an orphanage for children with HIV. Three key factors led me to the Gates of Hope.
Jacob ProffittI was introduced to Gates of Hope in 2004, by my good friend Mike Hammer. I had previously been involved with a trip to Paraguay and was looking for another avenue to have an impact on those that need our help. As I became more involved with Mary and the children, I realized what a special group they really are.
