Our Leaders
Pastor Mary Muriithi
Gates of Hope started in 1985, when I started ministering to the children in the streets of Nairobi. I started with those who were living in the streets, feeding and clothing them as well as sharing the word of God with them.
Mike Hammer
I began working with Gates of Hope in the summer of 2001. I was in Nairobi on a short term mission's project volunteering at an orphanage for children with HIV. Three key factors led me to the Gates of Hope.
Jacob Proffitt
I was introduced to Gates of Hope in 2004, by my good friend Mike Hammer. I had previously been involved with a trip to Paraguay and was looking for another avenue to have an impact on those that need our help. As I became more involved with Mary and the children, I realized what a special group they really are.
